Director, Property ManagementAbout the PositionThis newly created position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-date operations and performance of the company’s multifamily portfolio, ensuring all of our Property Managers are in compliance with our company policies and procedures and providing a superlative living experience for our tenants. In addition, the Director of Property Management will work closely with our executive team to follow up with tenant concerns at our various properties. The vast majority of time will be spent in the field, visiting our properties and meeting with Property Managers. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.About the CompanyWe have been building, acquiring, and managing high-end multifamily properties on the west side of Los Angeles. Most importantly, you understand that delivering a superior resident experience goes hand in hand with maintaining professional standards, following effective procedures, and doing things the right way.Job Responsibilities:- Hire, train, and supervise Resident Managers to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures. Supervise the Leasing Department and Maintenance Department.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure properties are maintained in accordance with company standards. Identify operational, safety, and resident-related issues and facilitate resolution.
- Manage property performance, including occupancy/vacancies, leasing activity, work order turnaround, and other key operational metrics.
- Collaborate with Resident Managers and other departments to effectively resolve resident issues, operational concerns, and property-level challenges.
- Ensure internal and external regulatory and process compliance, improve internal processes and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential property management with increasing levels of responsibility. Experience managing Property or Resident Managers in a commercial or residential property setting;
- College degree or equivalent experience;
- Expert in all facets of YARDI 7S and/or Voyager 8, advanced proficiency with RentCafe, MaintenanceIQ and related property management technology;
- Strong leadership and managerial skills;
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills;
- Comfortable and adept at interacting professionally with a wide variety of personalities, excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency with applicable technology, including MS Office;
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, punctual and reliable;
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Compensation:This is a full-time, exempt position. - Base salary: $190,000-$210,000 per year
